Applications for grants are usually made on behalf of the beneficiary by a professional person who is working with an individual or family. Applicants are asked to complete and 'Submit' the Referral Form which will be found elsewhere on this website.

The Trustees meet regularly during the year. Between their meetings the Trust Officers are authorised to consider applications for assistance and, in non contentious cases, to make decisions that enable the quickest possible response time.

The receipt of all applications will be acknowledged as soon as possible. At times additional information may be required. The Trustees are not able to make a grant in order to alleviate a debt.

When an application for help has been approved it is the custom of the Trustees to make a cheque payable directly to the supplier of the item to be purchased or, should this not be possible, to the professional person or organisation submitting the referral.
